Introduction to NetTutor

Learn about NetTutor--how students can access the service, tutor qualifications, subjects supported, and how NetTutor can have an impact on your students' academic success. The presentation is approximately 20 minutes with additional time allotted to answer any questions.

CCC Colleagues from Mt. San Jacinto College will share their best practices and tips on how to successfully implement the Pisces Platform while using NetTutor as a complementary tool. Why reinvent the wheel? Find ways to leverage the CVC-OEI online tutoring resources to achieve a sustainable online tutoring option for your students.

Campus tutors are invited to interact directly with their NetTutor peers--bring their questions and curiosity to this unscripted session. For example:

I'm used to tutoring in person. When we're online, how will I know when the student I'm helping is confused?

Will you show me how to do ___ in Pisces?

When I'm in the tutoring lab, students can see we're busy. How do I tell a student I've been helping online for a while that I need to help the next student in line?
