Becoming a Home College is a critical step for college participation in the CVC Exchange, providing your students the opportunity to cross enroll in courses offered at the current set of live Teaching Colleges. Serving as a Home College requires the establishment of a Canvas trust relationship and API, confirmation of MIS codes and identity provider setup, and enabling eTranscript receiving. Additionally, colleges are encouraged to sign the Federal Financial Aid Consortium Agreement and onboard its student services team, who will be responsible for validating residency and processing financial aid. To aid colleges in understanding and completing this process, CVC will be offering the first of a series of Home College Readiness Workshops, consisting of an overview of the steps to become a Home College, the role of a Home College in the cross-enrollment process, and the training opportunities available to student services teams. Colleges not already participating as a Home College are encouraged to attend.
