Request for Proposals Summary

Program Name: Community-Based Online Learning.
Program Description: The Community-Based Online Learning program provides community-based organizations with high-speed network connectivity to enable partnerships with California Community Colleges to use online teaching and learning materials to improve the quality of life for low-income communities in the nine economic districts of California.
Eligible Organizations: Nonprofit Community-Based Organizations (with 501c3 designation). Letter of support from a California community college is required from all applicants. Organizations must primarily serve low-income community residents.
Deadline Dates:
Extended Deadline for Northern Sacramento Valley, Central Sierra and Southern Border Regions:
  • Letters of Intent (required): March 23, 2009
  • Proposals must be received by: April 17, 2009
  • Award Notifications: May 10, 2009
