Updated Hosting Information for WebCT and Blackboard Schools Hosted Through CVC

Friday, November 11th, 2005

The free hosting that schools are currently getting under the California Virtual Campus Project grant will end June 30, 2005 for Blackboard customers and July 17, 2005 for WebCT customers.

There are four options for schools who are currently covered by CVC Hosting:

– Continue the shared hosting like you have now, but pay for the hosting based on a prorated share.  Colleges will need to make a commitment to this option by mid-December in order for the Foundation to finalize pricing.

– Sign up for dedicated hosting with Blackboard or WebCT

– Purchase hardware required and host your software on campus

– Move to Enterprise Course Management Software (Vista or Blackboard Enterprise) with 24*7 hosting at the CCC Central Hosting Center

To get pricing for any of the optiond listed above, please contact Joseph Quintana at the FCCC for a quote at (916) 325-0120 or via email at  jquintana@foundationccc.org.
